Anne Vallette Mackechnie
Hi there! As a calligrapher and watercolor artist I am so thankful that this is my job (really - have to pinch myself!). My calligraphy is typically a classic, elegant copperplate but I love to spice things up with modern calligraphy and scripts. My services include lettering on envelopes, place cards, menus, signage and spot calligraphy for dream weddings and events. I can’t wait to help you bring your special event to life.
For my illustrations I use pen & ink with rich watercolors. My bold use of color and patterns are both classic and whimsical in their detail. I love celebrating the “everyday” with colorful art that can be seen on an evolving array of products including wrapping paper, note cards, gift tags and napkins.
When I’m not illustrating or lettering, it’s pretty likely you’ll find me out in the garden, in a kayak, or hiking a mountain trail with my husband Bill. We live in the lovely waterside town of Annapolis, Maryland with our two dogs – a Husky named Fluffy - who has never heard a command she would obey - and Mia – the absolute finest little mutt on this Earth.
